Md Jahangir Alam (MJ Alam) is a trainee solicitor with a strong academic background in law. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) (Accelerated) from the University of Hertfordshire after completing an International Foundation in Arts, Humanities, and Law at Oxford Brookes University. He also undertook an LLB foundation at the University of West London and holds both a BA and an MA from ARU London. Currently, he is furthering his legal education by pursuing an LPC/LLM at LMU London.

Alongside his studies, Mr. Alam has built valuable experience in the legal field. He serves as a hybrid consultant to PP Barrister Subrata Chakraborty, who is affiliated with one of the leading criminal and family law chambers in West Bengal.

During his university years, he actively engaged in mediation and advocacy, participating in these as extracurricular activities. He also took on leadership roles, acting as treasurer of the Hertfordshire Bar Society and secretary of the Islamic Society. Additionally, he worked as an assistant librarian at the London Muslim Centre, further enriching his academic and professional exposure.

His work experience extends beyond the legal field. He has previously worked as an immigration paralegal at a law firm in London and has gained experience in the hospitality industry, real estate, and social services in Harrow, London.

Mr. Alam’s primary legal interests include human rights, immigration, family and children’s law, Islamic finance law, employment law, and both civil and criminal law. He is also passionate about alternative dispute resolution (ADR), family mediation, and family counseling, recognizing the importance of these approaches in resolving conflicts effectively.
